Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Mohamad Alsayed, Deutz-Mülheimer Str. 344, 51063 Cologne, Germany
Email: mohamad.alsayed93@gmail.com
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When the website is accessed, information transmitted by your browser is automatically processed in so-called server log files:
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
3. Legal basis for log file processing
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website. This data is not merged with other data sources.
4. Cookies, local storage and analytics
This website embeds no web analytics or marketing services and performs no audience measurement.
This website sets no cookies. The language you see is determined solely by the address you open.
When you change the colour scheme, your choice (light, dark or system) is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage, entry “theme”) so that it is kept on your next visit. Nothing is stored until you change it. This information is not transmitted to the server and is not evaluated. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.
5. Web fonts
This website uses web fonts for consistent typography. The font files are bundled at build time and served from this site’s own server. No connection is made to servers operated by Google or other third parties, and no data is transmitted to third parties.
6. Contact form and contact by email
You can reach me through the contact form on this website or directly by email.
The contact form asks for your name, your email address and your message. When you submit it, this information is sent to this website's server and delivered from there to me by email through an email server (SMTP). Your email address is set as the reply-to address so that I can answer you directly.
You then receive an automatic confirmation at the address you entered. It addresses you by name and, for your reference, contains the text of your message.
To protect against automatically sent messages, the form contains a field that is invisible to people and a timestamp that records only when the page was loaded. The number of submissions per IP address is also limited: for this, the IP address is held in the server's working memory for at most 15 minutes and is neither stored permanently nor logged. The content of the form is not stored on the server and is not written to any log; after sending, it exists only in the email mailboxes involved.
If you contact me directly by email, the data you provide is likewise processed exclusively to handle your enquiry.
I do not pass this data on without your consent. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR (handling of pre-contractual or contract-related enquiries and legitimate interest in communication).
7. External links
This website contains links to external platforms. When you click these links you leave this website; the respective provider is responsible for data processing on the linked pages. The privacy notices of the respective platform apply.
8. Retention period
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data remains with me until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. Server log files are generally deleted or anonymised automatically after a short time for security reasons.
9. Your rights
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:
- information about the personal data stored by me (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate personal data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure of the data stored by me (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- object to the processing of your data (Art. 21 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
10. Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time, for example the competent authority of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
11. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.
